Windows 10 is far superior to windows 7 in almost every way, however when you upgrade from windows 7 there are tons of legacy issues with drivers and components that are left behind during the upgrade. To the best of my knowledge, the only information that I am aware of to resolve this issue is to validate the files, which does not resolve the issue. However, the issue with the editing window still being black persist. 11 files had to be reinstalled and the reinstallation was successful. I initially posted it in bug reports several months ago and was given the advice to validate the files from Steam.
