The next step is to think more broadly about how and where you will use your workstation. Do you need fantastic graphics performance, or to analyze huge data sets in hours, rather than days? Do you need to be able to do a range of tasks concurrently? Which applications or operating system are you relying on? The first is simply to think about the work you need it to support.
